The Event Details
Please note that there is a discount of E5 if tickets are bought together for the Sept 3 and Sept 4 events.
August 28th – Craft and Plant Fair - 12 noon to 6pm
Craft and Plant Fair in the marquee and in the grounds of Burren House –
All items supplied by local craftmen and garden centers.
E5 per car – proceeds go to the local charities.
September 3rd – Impresario and Pagliacci - Garden Opera and Picnic. Tickets E69.
3pm - Gardens open - Local produce is on sale and is donated by local restaurants and kilbrittian bakery. All proceeds go to local charities
5.00pm - Opera Commences, Mozart's ‘Impresario’ - Act one
5.40pm - Interval - Enjoy your picnic or enjoy some of the Pig Roast and Barbeque food supplied by Eugene Scally of Scally Supervalu, Clonakilty. Enjoy some beers and some wines supplies by 'From Vineyards Direct’.Interval music by Carys Ann Evans - harpist from Clonakilty.
Some light musical entertainment will be provided - including pieces from the classical, traditional and even Texan genres. .
Raffle tickets go on sale – proceeds go to the charities
7.10pm - Act two commences - Leoncavallo’s ‘Pagliacci’
7.40pm - Opera finishes
7.45pm - Enjoy the rest of your picnic.
10pm - Vacate Burren House Grounds.
September 4th – International soloists are joined by Chorus Opera Cork and the Cork City Male voice choir. Tickets – E35. 7 – 9 pm including a 40 minute interval.
